Postponement of Special Vestry

The Special Vestry which was called for Monday June 29th at 7 pm in the back laneway of the church has been postponed indefinitely.

Last week we were given permission through the Bishop’s office to hold the meeting in that manner.  As information continues to be shared and discerned at the Diocesan level, yesterday interim protocols for meetings were more succinctly clarified.  Thus we were advised by our Area Bishop to cancel the in person meeting we had planned.

We do have permission to hold this Special Vestry virtually using Zoom.  However, it is the opinion of the corporation that to do so would exclude too many of our parishioners from both the conversation and from voting.

Therefore the corporation has decided to postpone the vote on the matter of chairs in our sanctuary until such a time as we can safely gather as many people as possible to discuss and vote.
