Welcome to this Sunday's serivce!  We are glad you are here.

You will notice a couple of different things this week.  First, the service is based on a form of Morning Prayer using some resources from The New Zealand Prayer Book.

The second hymn does not have a link for you to follow.  We learned this week that many hymns are copyrighted and cannot be placed as a link in our services.  When we are unable to do so, moving forward, we will provide the title and words.  You are certainly welcome to go to YouTube yourself and search for this hymn so you can have some music to accompany you.  You will notice that our closing hymn was recorded not so far away at the Anglican church in Sharon!

Hymn.  One Bread, One Body by John Michael Talbot.

(If you'd like to listen to the hymn online, please go to YouTube and search the title)

One bread, one body, one Lord of all
One cup of blessing which we bless
And we, though many, throughout the earth
We are one body in this one Lord
Gentile or Jew
Servant or free
Woman or man
No more
One bread, one body, one Lord of all
One cup of blessing which we bless
And we, though many, throughout the earth
We are one body in this one Lord
Many the gifts, many the works
One in the Lord
Of all

The Prayers

Prayers of the People

Click below on "Prayers August 23, 2020.docx". Thank you to Rhonda O'Grady for this week's intercessions.

Confession

God of mercy, we have sinned against you and against others.  We have sinned in what we have done, and in what we have failed to do.  We are truly sorry.  For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, forgive us all that is past and raise us to newness of life.  Amen.

Through the cross of Christ, remember that God has had mercy upon you, pardoned you, and set you free. Know that you are forgiven and be at peace.  God strengthen you in all goodness and keep you in life eternal.  Amen

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.  Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.  For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever.  Amen

Let us bless the Lord.  Thanks be to God.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all.  Amen.

Closing Hymn.  The Love of Jesus Calls us.  Link to Hymn
