Opening Hymn

Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones (vs. 1,2,3)

to listen, click on "Queen St 19.m4a" below

1 Ye watchers and ye holy ones,
bright seraphs, cherubim, and thrones,
raise the glad strain, Alleluia!
Cry out, dominions, princedoms, powers,
virtues, archangels, angels' choirs:

Refrain:
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

2 O higher than the cherubim,
more glorious than the seraphim,
lead their praises, Alleluia!
Thou bearer of th' eternal Word,
most gracious, magnify the Lord: [Refrain]

3 Respond, ye souls in endless rest,
ye patriarchs and prophets blest,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Ye holy twelve, ye martyrs strong,
all saints triumphant, raise the song: [Refrain]

The Grace

The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

Canticle

The Souls of the Righteous (from the BAS, Canticle 10)

The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God: no torment shall ever touch them.

In the eyes of the unwise they seemed to be dead, their departure was taken for defeat, their going from us to be disaster; but they are in peace.

Though they appeared to be punished their hope is rich in immortality.  Small their affliction, great their blessing; God proved and found them worthy of himself.

Like gold in a furnace he tried them, and accepted them as an oblation.

In the moment of God's coming they shall kindle into flame and run like sparks through the stubble.  They shall govern nations and people's, and the Lord shall be their ruler forever.

Collect Prayer

God of all people from every tribe and language; you call true witnesses who sing your praise, live your grace and work for peace: may we share their faith and know our need for you that we might be a blessing to the hunger of your world; through Jesus Christ, whose body we are.  Amen.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.

Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.

Benediction

God’s people have celebrated all that God has done, from creation, to the cross,to the saints who have lived among us. Now we go from this place to the work place, the home place, the market place; every place living as God’s own people.  And may the love of God, the blessing of the Trinity, go with each and every one of us.  Amen.

Closing Hymn

For All the Saints (vs. 1, 2, 4, 8)

to listen, click on "Queen St 5.m4a" below

1 For all the saints who from their labors rest,
who thee by faith before the world confessed,
thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

2 Thou wast their rock, their fortress, and their might;
thou, Lord, their captain in the well-fought fight;
thou, in the darkness drear, their one true light.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

4 O blest communion, fellowship divine,
we feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
yet all are one in thee, for all are thine.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

8 From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,
through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
