What is going on at Ascension!
It is difficult to believe that summer is upon us this week! I sincerely hope you all have a great summer with lots of opportunity to visit with friends and family and do a bit of travelling if you can.
The church will be open throughout the summer and please do join us for Sunday worhsip when you are in town. I will be on holidays for the month of July and I am grateful for the folks who have stepped up to help us with Sunday services. Our schedule will look something like this:
Sunday July 3 & 10th - Holy Eucharist - The Reverend Don Sheilds (Chaplain at Markham Stouffville Hospital and Honourary Associate at St. Thomas Brooklin)
Sunday July 17th - Morning Prayer led by Anne Lane
Sunday July 24th & 31st - Holy Eucharist - The Reverend Catherine Desloges (Honourary Assistant at Christ Church Oshawa)

I will be back in August, returning to work at half time, 20 hours a week. I`m looking forward to returning to my full hours as soon as I can.

Pastoral Care
Please do not hesitate to reach out for pastoral care when needed. We have a wonderful pastoral care team and support beyond the church as well. The Reverend Canon Mark Kinghan is offering pastoral care support for emergencies through most of July.
