While the church is closed for recording and services from June 27th to August 1st (inclusive), we invite you to explore other ways of offering your worship to God. Here are a few ideas to help you on your way...
Many churches are now offering online services each week. You may want to visit different churches. Perhaps the church you grew up attending (if you can) or the church you were married in. You might want to check out a different denomination entirely, or an Anglican Church in a different country! The possibilities are endless. Here are some links to explore:
Take a walk, by yourself or with a friend, and let God's creation be your cathedral. Let the rustling of the trees be your hymns, the bright gardens your banners, and the fresh air your communion. Here's a prayer, written for those making a pilgramage, that you could use:
May my steps along this path take me
deeper into Your heart;
closer to the truth of who I am in You.
May my companions along the way
surprise me with new revelations of your Spirit;
evoke in me a deeper compassion.
As my foot touches the worn path
and my eyes alight upon your creation
may I know your loving embrace more truly
and sing my silent gratitudes with joy.
Journey with me Friend of my soul
that I might walk the true way
always following You
always looking for you in the stranger
always loving you as I touch this world.
Amen
When the weather cooperates, and you feel safe to do so, meet up with a couple of people at the park. Bring along a lawn chair, find your BAS or go online to access the Morning Prayer Service (Click Here for Morning Prayer). Take turns reading the various prayers and scriptures and enjoy some conversation about what speaks to your heart and mind.
