Aurora

Some of you living in and around Port Perry would have seen the Aurora Borealis few weeks ago, quite visible from the lake.  Such a sight is always inspiring!  Here is a photograph and poem shared by Karen Barney.

Aurora

I looked into the night
Saw your image on the sky
Hidden bursts of stardust
In their journey from away
You drew your heart upon me
Nothing bold or furious
Without voice
Without alarm
Then you danced your heart upon me
Moved with rhythms never known
The stars did bow before you
You swept the dark away
I looked into the night
I looked upon your glory
I knew that distant hope
Could hold my heart with yours
